- the Cosmos, Pelé was named the league’s
- Most Valuable Player in 1976, and led the
- team to the NASL title in 1977. He made
- dazzling plays with his head, chest, thighs,
- and feet.

- Pelé played his last game on October 1, 1977, before 75,646 fans at Giants Stadium,
- in New Jersey. The game was an exhibition
- between the Cosmos and Santos. He
- played the first half for the Cosmos
- and the second half for Santos.
